The Lighted Red Cross

Jesus

God has been so good to us. Our new home is close to the highway. We wanted to put up something that would cause people driving by to think of God. We figured that a lighted cross would be just right.

We cut out the cross and made holes around the edges for white Christmas lights. The lights fit just right. We hung it on the porch and for a little while, it was lovely. Then the lights blew!

The second string we tried did the same thing - as did the third. All that was left was a string of red lights left over from Valentine's Day. We removed the red lights and replaced them with white ones. They lit so we hung the cross again. A little while later, the bulbs began blowing out.

After seven hours of attempting to have white lights, we were out of white bulbs. Frustrated, we put the red ones in. Again, we hung the cross on the porch waiting for the red lights to blow. We are still waiting. They are still burning.

Father God wants you to know how much He loves you! The cross where Jesus died was not pretty and clean and white. Jesus' Blood was red and Jesus' pain was real! Satan may lead you astray but Jesus can bring you back with His very own Blood. He did that because He loves us. Remember the cross!
