A Mountain In A Storm

Nothing seems so strong, so sure
As a mountain in a storm
Though winds my blow, clouds may swirl
Through blinding storm, I see that form

Mid smashing trees and falling limbs
So calm and sure it stands
I shudder - and suddenly I see
My life - so like the shifting sands

When storms come up and things go wrong
I lose my grip - just go to pieces
Lord, make me like that ageless mount
Keep me strong till danger ceases

There's beauty in that chilling wind
Blowing the trees and hurling snow
That folks that haven't stood up here
Can never even hope to know
