Grandpa loved the children
Spoiled them too, I guess
Anything they asked him for
Grandpa would just say, "yes"

Grandpa took them fishin'
Put bait on their hook
Showed them where to cast it
(He knew just where to look)




They all loved their Grandpa
And, sure, they often wish
That they could go with him
To catch another fish

Grandpa's been gone for years
The kids are grown up now
They remember fishin'
When Grandpa showed them how
